How to care for outdoor furniture over the years

A few small habits that extend the life of the sofa, the cushions and the wood, in summer and in winter.

Good outdoor furniture is built to live outside, but a few simple habits help it look good for much longer.

01 / Regular cleaning

Dust and leaves left on the fabric over time are what make it dirty. Once every week or two, brush the cushions with a soft brush or wipe them with a damp cloth. A fresh stain is much easier to remove than an old one.

02 / Dry cushions

After rain, or after sitting in wet swimwear, stand the cushions on their side so they dry quickly. A cushion that stays damp for a long time is the most common cause of odours and stains.

Five minutes of care every two weeks is worth more than a deep clean once a year.

03 / Wood and metal

Wood outdoors changes colour over time, and that's natural. If you'd like to keep its original tone, ask us which treatment suits the wood you chose and how often to apply it.

04 / Before winter

When you know the furniture won't be used for a long while, store the cushions somewhere dry and cover the furniture with a cover that lets it breathe.
